The brief
Boldon Bathrooms’ first TV advert was made on a tight production budget, which is completely understandable when you’re trying something for the first time. It did well enough that they came back ready to put more money into the production, and the main thing they wanted was a presenter to represent the brand.
The idea
A presenter gives a business a friendly, familiar face, and they can walk viewers through what’s on offer in a way that a voiceover on its own can’t quite manage. One of Boldon’s biggest selling points is their low prices, so we also wanted to make sure that came across loud and clear.
The production
We filmed in Boldon’s own showroom with the presenter and several extras, so that viewers could see the range of kitchens and bathrooms for themselves. The price message was handled with strong on-screen graphics, backed up by the way the presenter delivered it.
