Tom Jones

If you’re promoting a tour or a one-off show, you’ve got a fixed date, a venue to fill and usually not much time to do it, so the advertising has to work quickly. These are some of the tour and concert adverts we’ve made, including one we turned round in under two weeks.
How TV works for tours and live shows
Your audience lives within reach of the venue, which is why concert campaigns are bought tightly by region, and on a tour the same advert can be given a different ending for each city, with its own venue and date. The adverts can be turned round fast as well, when a date is announced late or sales need a push.
You’ve also got a head start, because the artist and the songs do most of the selling. Performance footage and the hits people already know will tell viewers in a few seconds what the night is going to be like, and the ad just needs to be clear about who, where and when.
Our Craig David tour ad, made with the agency Gibson Media, went from brief to broadcast in under two weeks, and we’ve also made TV ads for tours and shows by Tom Jones, Paloma Faith, Bryan Adams, Kings of Leon, Madness, Simple Minds, a-ha and Steps.
If you’re wondering what’s realistic for your own dates, there’s a stage-by-stage guide in how long does it take to get a TV ad on air? When there’s a show you need to sell, tell us the dates and we’ll say honestly what can be done in the time, or have a look at what TV advertising costs.
