The brief
Livingston Designer Outlet had just been through a multi-million pound redevelopment. They wanted to show off the improvements, and beyond that they wanted to change how people thought of the place, so that it was seen as a high-end shopping experience.
The idea
The advert needed to feel aspirational, but it also needed to feel attainable, because if you push that kind of thing too far people decide it isn’t for them. So we highlighted the improvements in a subtle, classy way and let the look of the ad do the talking.
The production
This was one of our bigger shoots, with a crew that included a stylist, a make-up artist, a gaffer (who runs the lighting), a producer, a director of photography and a director, and a cast that included a lead model, a pianist and more than 30 extras.
The result
The finished advert hugely surpassed the client’s expectations.
